Overview
This model is for testing the extensibility and adhesive qualities of lacquers, paints and other protective coatings applied
to a metal substrate.
A 20mm diameter steel ball punch is applied under pressure to the uncoated side of the test panel.
Concentric with the punch on the coated side of the panel is a corresponding die.
Technical Parameter
As the test panel is deformed the coated surface is kept under observation and the point at which the coating cracks
or becomes detached
from the substrate is noted.
Max panel width 70mm, maximum thickness 1.25mm
Complies with BS EN / ISO 1520 / BS 3900: E4.
